On this episode of the Gap, Tammy and Althea start by discussing three recent federal actions related to the Biden Administration. We talk about the Equality Act passing the House, the $15 minimum wage increase being dropped from the COVID stimulus relief bill and a new detention center for migrant children being opened. It's a mixed bag to be sure, and here's hoping we get the stimulus before we unemployment benefits run out on March 14th!
Then, we think about our non-celebrity role models as an antidote to frustration with cancelled celebrities. We hear from community members about who they looked up to in their young days and talk about our own. Shoutout to teachers!
