This year, all the screenings and discussions in the Cascade Festival of African Films are going online

For the past 30 years, the Cascade Festival of African Films has brought African films and African filmmakers to Portland, with screenings and events at Portland Community College, the Kennedy School, and the Hollywood Theatre.  But with the Covid-19 shutdown, the festival has adjusted to an online presence, with virtual screenings, an internet marketplace, and Q&A discussions over Zoom.

CFAF Director Tracy Francis and Associate Director Ronna Neuenschwander join S.W. Conser to talk about the history and mission of the festival, and what listeners can expect from this most unusual incarnation of the event.
