A virtual trip across the pond connects us with homeless graphic novelists in Britain whose works are being published for the first time

Marice Cumber is the Founder and Director of Accumulate, a non-profit art school in London, England, which focuses its services on homeless youth.  Their latest project is The Book of Homelessness, a compilation of artwork, stories, and graphic memoir by the program's participants.  Even while locked down during the Covid-19 pandemic, The Accumulate staff and students kept working to bring the project to fruition, and the resulting book has garnered praise from the local art world.

Marice invited three of Accumulate's students — Luke, Ria, and Mitchell — to sit down over Zoom with S.W. Conser to tell their stories, express their creativity, and share their hopes for the future.
