Pipedream to Pipe-mare for Big Gas: Yesterday the Palomar Pipeline Company submitted a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission indicating that the pipeline in its entirety is on indefinite delay. The company cites the bankruptcy of Bradwood LNG as a primary factor in the suspension and states that they are investigating whether they can find "additional commercial underpinnings" for Palomar. But there was a meeting in Astoria recently at which people due to be effected by the pipeline had one last chance to air their views. At this point Palomar has no source to provide gas to its pipeline now that Bradwood is off the table. This fight isn't over...we're staring straight down the barrel of weeks of smoking secrecy. Don't blink and don't turn your back on these guys.

This past spring Abdirrahman Ali Gaal, a Somali citizen of the United States spent approximately two months abroad on vacation. When attempting to return home Mr. Gaal's May 30, 2010 Aeromexico flight that was en route to Mexico was diverted to Montreal, Canada by United States officials because of his placement on a "no-fly" list. Once in Canada, Mr. Gaal was returned to the United States by Canadian authorities, and was taken into custody by U.S. immigration officials who instituted removal proceedings against him.
