Also this evening, Revolution Parkour in Beaverton will host an Open House. Would-be stuntwomen and stuntmen over the age of 18 are invited to an introduction to the bouncy sport from 6 to 10 pm at 5651 SW Arctic Drive in Beaverton.

Tomorrow, lest we forget, is International Workers' Day, May the first.  In Portland and in Salem, synchronized with other gatherings worldwide, broad coalitions of social justice organizations will march and rally for worker solidarity, immigrants' rights, and economic justice.  
In Portland, a group will assemble at 11 AM at SW Park and Salmon. There will be speakers and entertainment at noon and a march at 1 pm.
In Salem, the march will start at 11am near Jackson Plaza at Willamette University (900 State Street) and go to the Oregon State Fairgrounds for a rally for immigration reform.

Food Not Bombs puts Portland's wasted food to good use by serving hot vegan meals to the community. Tomorrow, Saturday, they'll be serving downtown at the Riot Elephant at West Burnside and Park. New volunteers are always welcome.

On Friday 1/15/10, the Obama Administration granted temporary protected status for Haitian nationals who were in the United States as of Tuesday, January 12.
