This is Kellyn with your COMMUNITY CALENDAR for WEDNESDAY, April 14, 2010.

InterArts Presents the No.Fest 2010 Benefit shows both at Someday Lounge and Backspace at 115 and 125 Northwest 5th Avenue respectively. Featuring Trawler Bycatch, Brainstorm and much, much more. Music runs from 8:30 until 1:30am at both venues. Backspace will be an all-ages show.

Now at the Milagros Theater at 525 Southeast Stark until April 17th, see HOW THE GARCÍA GIRLS LOST THEIR ACCENTS. The play is based on the best-selling novel by Julia Alvarez and playing tonight at 7:30pm for a special student and senior price of 16 dollars. Tickets can be purchased at www.milagro.org, or call 503.236.7253.

The Q Center's April QLiterati! will feature celebrated authors, all focusing on themes of coming out. Join Tom Spanbauer, Rodger Larson and Kelly Jeske for an evening of readings and discussion. The event runs from 7 until 9pm, with an open mic starting off the night. The Q Center is located at 4115 North Mississippi Avenue. *******************

Come view the film "The Power of Community" and learn how Cuba survived an oil crisis in the early 90s and in turn benefited from more sustainable agricultural practices. Film showing will be followed by discussion. This is at the Bread and Roses Center on 819 North Killingsworth Street at 6:30pm. A meal is available at 6:15pm for a 5 to 8 dollar donation. All genders welcome.
