KBOO COMMUNITY CALENDAR TUESDAY April 21, 2009 This is the community calendar for Tuesday April 21, 2009. Sea Change Gallery celebrates Earth Day Wednesday April 22. From 11 a.m. to 4 pm there will be an earth day field trip hiking in Forest Park and picking up trash along the banks of the Willamette to make into an art sculpture; meet at the gallery, 625 NW Everett. Gallery #110, Portland. The gallery also holds an Earth Day Summit from 6 to 10 p.m. featuring a 6-7pm Slide Show: "Global Warming: Challenges and Solutions," based on Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth", presented by Janelle Hansen of Northwest Neighborhood Energy; a 7-8pm presentation by John Sorenson, also of Northwest Neighborhood Energy, discussing District Energy neighborhoods around the world as well as proposed projects here in Portland; an 8-9pm Lecture: "Urban Density" led by Urban Architect Rick Potestio; and at 9-10pm Discussion and Drinks. Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church conducts weekly DivorceCare For Kids programs to help children heal from the pain of divorce and separation. Everyone is welcome each Wednesday evening at 7 pm to 8 pm at Mt Tabor Presbyterian Church. 5441 SE Belmont Street.
