Denise Morris hosts this episode of the Old Mole which includes:

Now What? Bill Resnick interviews John Cavanagh, Director of the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington D.C. They discuss what a Biden Administration might do on the great issues of our day if mightily pushed by the left including climate change, pandemics, racism, militarism, and poverty among many others.

BLM and Defend Democracy: Desiree Hellegers speaks with Ray Austin, an organizer with Portland's Black Lives Matter movement and Diane Meisenhelter of the Defend Democracy Coalition, about ongoing organizing to defend democracy as the election season winds down.

The Left and the Law: Jan Haaken and Mike Snedeker, In their Left and the Law segment,  survey some of the victories in the November elections for criminal justice reform. They also discuss the criminal case against human rights attorney Steven Donziger-- ultimately for holding Chevron responsible for its heinous oil mining practices in Amazonian Ecuador. Jan and Mike take up what's at stake for oil companies in pursuing charges against Denziger who is represented by criminal defense attorney Lauren Regan, senior attorney with the Civil Liberties Defense Center.

Organizing in Academia: Desiree Hellegers talks with Sarah Chivers and Samantha Edgerton, organizers with the new Pacific Northwest Inter-Campus Organizing Collective, and with Lakota Cheyenne activist Roben White, about the upcoming November 13 virtual Pacific Northwest wide organizing summit: "Organizing to Confront Academic Disaster Capitalism in the Age of Pandemics," and the movement to disarm police on the PSU campus.
