The theme for April is "Fools," and this month's show features Kate Gray, who is the author of For Every Girl: New & Selected Poems and Another Sunset We Survive, which was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award and followed her chapbooks, Bone-Knowing, winner of the Gertrude Press Poetry Prize, and Where She Goes, winner of the Blue Light Chapbook Prize. Kate's first novel, Carry the Sky, was published in 2014, and her novel-in-progress, Any More, Black Shoe, narrates, in Sylvia Plath’s voice, what led to The Bell Jar and Plath’s suicide attempt in 1953. As a writing coach and facilitator, Kate also brings people together around writing, whether it’s as a volunteer through Write Around Portland, as the co-host of the Incite queer writers series, or through her daily guided meditations and writing sessions that reach people all over the world. https://kategraywrites.com/
