Local Folks Podcast Season 3: Helping The Homeless, Episode 1

There are homeless people in just about every town and city in America, and my community of Corvallis is no different. Season three of Local Folks Podcast focuses on the Corvallis Daytime Drop in Center – an organization who’s mission is to provide needed services to people who are living in poverty and experiencing homelessness. In this first episode, we are introduced to the center through the voices of staff, volunteers and guests and listen to Darlene – who managed the center early in it’s existence - as she talks about her role in making the center what it is today, and what she has learned about the homeless and herself in the process.
