Bright Spark #5: In The Darknets

In this episode we feature Michael Gilbert-  a public health technologist with specializations in epidemiology, health informatics, and harm reduction. Michael’s past work in these fields includes design and implementation of public health informatics tools, research on the successes and challenges in community-based distribution of naloxone, and the development of technologies to support the health and wellbeing of stigmatized populations. We asked Michael to come in and explain the darknet and cyryptomarkets and their effects on drug consumption and to talk about the state of harm reduction within these spheres.
