Stephanie Potter speaks with filmmaker Rober Bates who with Brian Kimmel created the documentary "Ingredients: The Local Food Movement Takes Root."  With Robert is Kat West, a manager with the Multnomah County Sustainability Program (MCSP).   There will be a Portland premier of this documentary celebrating our local food system as part of the Sustainability Film Series sponsored by MCSP,  and followed by a Local Food Panel with the film director, local farmers, the owner of Higgins restaurant, and Multnomah County’s Sustainability Manager.  Bring a $5 donation for the fundraiser for the Multnomah Food Initiative.   The initiative is part of  MCSP's effort to host a Food Summit early next year to develop a defined, community-driven vision around our food system, and to launch a public engagement process funded by EPA to develop a comprehensive Food Action Plan that challenges all sectors of the food system to set high level goals and take responsibility for specific actions to reach those goals.
