An Interview with Kirsten Hunter, Lisa Allen and Margaret Foley, members of Nasty Women Get Shit Done

Nasty Women Get Shit Done PDX (NWGSD) emerged in Portland, Oregon in response to the 2016 presidential election results when friends gathered together to brainstorm ways to help their community and to actively resist the xenophobia, racism, misogyny, ableism, anti-LGBTQ, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic, anti-Earth platform and policies of the new administration. Today on The Radio Activist,  Suzanne LaGrande interviews Kirsten Hunter, Lisa Allen,  and Margaret Foley, members of Nasty Women Get Shit Done about the many accomplishments of the group since its inception. A progressive, action-oriented, grassroots group from Portland, Oregon,  it has worked to promote democracy, and advocate for social, financial, and environmental justice. Among other things, they created  the popular “In Our America” poster, which modifies the flag to include and upholds the rights of all people, along with the preservation of our planet.
