Reimagined Radio - a live tribute to the Golden Age of Radio

It's the 5th Friday of the month, and time once again for another episode of Mr. Jones's Neighborhood, the children's show for reluctant adults. Host Ken Jones (no relation) welcomes Sam Mowry of Willamette Radio Workshop and John Barber, producer of the Re-Imagined Radio project.

In his role as Artistic Director and actor, Sam guides Willamette Radio Workshop productions of both original and classic radio material. John is a faculty member in Washington State University Vancouver’s Creative Media and Digital Culture Program.

On today's show, we'll be talking with Sam and John about their Re-Imagined Radio production Laugh Your Dial Off, which features old-time radio performances made famous by Jack Benny, Fred Allen, Fibber McGee and Molly, Abbott & Costello, and Charlie McCarthy & Edgar Bergen with W.C. Fields (who didn't much care for Charlie).

We'll also play some excerpts from those Golden Age of Radio comedy legends. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
