Today we present a talk and book reading given by Mya Guarnieri Jaradat at TaborSpace in Portland on Tuesday June 20, 2017, about her new book: The Unchosen: The Lives of Israel's New Others.
Described as "essential reading" by journalist Ben Ehrenreich, this new book by Mya Guarnieri Jaradat provides an in-depth look at the lives of African asylum seekers and migrant workers in Israel. Guarnieri Jaradat's pioneering reporting has appeared in The Nation and The Guardian. Her book calls into question Israel's claim that its mistreatment of Palestinians is based on "security concerns."
