On Tuesday, April 2, 2017 at 11.30am Joseph Gallivan interviews Peter Ksander, Rebecca Lingafelter and Isaac Lamb about the “flying bricks” set design of the British play The Angry Brigade.
They will talk about
- The set’s yin and yang structure and deterioration over two acts,
- How it relates to playwright James Graham’s text,
- And why there is a toilet in the middle of the stage.
The Angry Brigade is in its U.S. premier at Imago Theater, 17 SE 8th Ave, Portland, through April 15, 2017.
From the press release:
Young anarchists try to bring down the Establishment. The police try to stop them. Push to the left, push to the right. Push far enough and you’ll be surprised who you’ll meet. Based on real events in 1970s Britain, The Angry Brigade is a thrilling, funny, theatrical explosion of two halves. Be ready for one of the most compelling plays in Third Rail’s history.
