Host Julie Bernard interviewed local artists Remedios Rapoport and Jacquelyn Bond about  Women’s Art: Women’s Vision at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center.  Celebrating the theme of 2008’s National Women’s History Month Remedios Rapoport takes the traditional Argentinean art of Filete (elaborate sign painting) and puts a contemporary message for empowerment and action into each piece. She will present her work, act as guest curator and mentor an emerging artist also working with women and political empowerment. Jacquelyn Bond is a young artist who paints water color illustrations and creates beautiful political pin ups.
