If passed into law, this ballot measure would prohibit the purchase or sale of parts and products in Oregon from 12 imperiled animal species: elephant; rhino; whale; tiger; lion; leopard; cheetah; jaguar; pangolin; sea turtle; shark; and ray. We will talk about the need to qualify this initiative for the November election ballot and the anticipated effect it will have on the current slaughter of these animals and the illegal trafficking of their body parts.
