Preference Radio: Housing & homelessness among LGBTQ youth.
We'll be talking about housing and homelessness among queer and trans youth, in this re-aired episode of Out Loud from last February.

Our guests are:

Kiera Hansen is the Youth HIV Educator with Cascade AIDS Project's youth sexual health education program, CHATpdx. They have been working with queer and trans young folks experiencing homelessness for over a decade.

Micah Giardina is the coordinator QueerZone, a program of Outside In. QueerZone provides support to queer, trans and ally homeless youth under age 25. Outside In is an agency providing many services to homeless youth, adults and more including housing support, daily meals, case management, medical care and more.

Leila Hofstein is the Youth Coordinator for Portland PFLAG Black Chapter and works specifically with LGBTQ Youth of Color around the city, including those in the houseless youth continuum and works closely with elementary, middle and high schools around Portland metro around queer youth equity.
