Pride season has arrived and it's time to celebrate our community!
Out Loud kicks off pride season by celebrating queer storytelling and welcoming your calls, as we begin to say our goodbyes.
At the start of the show, we share our love of storytelling by welcoming Jeff from SLANT, the live queer storytelling event that is happening on Tues June 9th at Mississippi Studios. SLANT is a sister project of Teacher Ten and the theme for this SLANT event is Hot Dish.
While we're excited to celebrate Pride, we're also starting to say our goodbyes. Out Loud is retiring and our last show will be next week (June 9th). Tonight we welcome calls from listeners who would like to share their favorite stories about Out Loud. Let us know what Out Loud has meant to you and how the show has impacted you and your community. The phone number to call during the show is 503-231-8187. If you can't call, you can email your ideas, comments and stories to OutLoudRadio@gmail.com and we'll read them on the air.
If you haven't yet seen the invitation, KBOO is welcoming new show proposals to continue queer programming every Tues @ 6pm. Deadline to submit your proposal is Tues June 9th. The pilots of proposed new shows will begin airing June 16th at 6pm. More information can be found at www.kboo.fm/OutLoud
Thank you for over 13 years of support, connection and celebration!
Cheers to many more years of rainbow radio!
Until next time, stay proud and live out loud!
