It's Mardi Gras Time!

Friday Feb 6, tune in to The Songcircle from 1:30 to 3 PM for a very special edition of the Forests of Fennario, my little corner of the musical universe.
It's Mardi Gras Time in Portland and I will be having a very special show with Captain Steve Kerin, Queen Jane Manning, and King Dave Johnson of the Mysti Krewe of Nimbus, Portland's own Authentic New Orleans Style Mardi Gras Krewe.
We will be playing Mardi Gras Music and talking about the 5th annual Mysti Krewe Mardi Gras Ball.
This year's ball, themed "Voodoo Valentine," features very special artist Charmaine Neville (of the New Orleans Royal Family of Funk, the Nevilles) as well as local acts Transcendental Brass Band, Too Loose Zydeco Cajun Band, and Northside Skull and Bones Gang Mardi Gras Indians.
We will also be discussing Mardi Gras history and ritual and playing some music to listen to while you are sitting in La-La waitin for your Ya-ya...
