The Seamstress host poet Landra Glover

Active Listening with the Seamstress of Sound heads up during our Fundraising Drive with special guest and community rockstar Landra Glover. Landra Glover is the 2013 National Head Start Parent of the Year. In 2005 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of the District of Columbia. Shortly after, she started writing for various local community papers in the Maryland suburbs of Washington D.C. In 2007 she wrote her first book titled Inside a Poet’s Pocketbook, a collection of poetry. I had the privilege of hearing her work at an open mic put on by Living Stages a few weeks back and she's ready to be back in the limelight so let's give her some buzz!
