Founded in 1970, the Institut International de Musique Electroacoustique de Bourges (France), or IMEB, was a force for the recording and dissemination of new electroacoustic works. Sadly, IMEB lost it's funding in 2010. Prize-winning works from the Bourges International Electroacoustic Music and Sonic Art Competition were released annually beginning in 1986 under the title Cultures Electroniques. Another series of recordings, Chrysopée Electronique, was devoted to works realized in the IMEB studios. This time on A Different Nature we will listen to a number of award-winning compositions from Bourges over the years. This week's host: Andy Hosch.
