A Different Nature on 09/03/12

  The American composer John Cage was born on September 5, 1912. Cage was one of the most influential musical minds of the 20th century, leaving an indelible mark on future generations of minimalist and electroacoustic composers, and also  in the relams of art rock, avant-jazz, noise, and electronica.  To celebrate the Cage centenary, A Different Nature will present Cage-related programming throughout the month of September.  This first program on September 3rd will be an extended 3-hour show (8-11 pm).   Then tune in on the 10th and the 17th at the regular time (8-10 pm).  And on September 24th,  we present a 4-hour finale (7-11 pm) with the Collective mixing Cage material live in the KBOO studio, selected by chance operations.
