• Bill Resnick talks with Jane Collins, a professor of sociology and women studies at University of Wisconsin. They discuss welfare since Bill Clinton's famous "reform" act of 1996 and working in the low-wage market. She points out that "There are a lot of people in the governement today who seem to believe that tax-payers arrive on the scene fully grown and ready to work - they don't need to be cared for as children; their health doesn't need to be safe-guarded. And what we were looking at is what kind of national conversation can we have about the division of labor by which that work gets done."
• Joe talks with Jessica Chanay of Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon about the food-stamp program and how law-makers are looking to take it apart along similar lines as some of the Clinton-era reforms.
• Bill concludes his conversation from last week with Thomas Doyle, a Catholic priest, about his struggle with Church leadership on really addressing sex-abuse.
• Denise Morris talks with Mark Brenner of Labor Notes magazine about the American Dream.
