"Don't om, organize!" Remembering the bombing of Judi Bari and Darryl Cherney: 20 years later.

On May 24th, 1990, EarthFirst! activists Judi Bari and Darryl Cherney were bombed.  This happened while they were on tour, organizing for Redwood Summer.  The goal for Redwood Summer was to bring people together from across the country to stop the rapid clearcutting of the old growth forests through non-violent direct action.

Join Ani and Lyn as we note this anniversary, and hear selections from the CD: Who Bombed Judi Bari? in which Bari discusses Redwood Summer, the bombing, and the FBI's Cointelpro.

Looking at what's happened in the past, we can better understand what's happening today, and what to watch for in the future.

Judi Bari's strength, humor, and clarity continues to provide inspiration, even 12 years after her death from cancer. Please call in at 503-231-8187, and put yourself in the conversation. We want to hear your memories of Judi, of EarthFirst!, of forest activism.  We'd also love to hear what you are doing to carry on this critical work.
