Israel's Gaza Invasion: One year later
After a devastating Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip from Dec. 27, 2008 - Jan. 20, 2009 which resulted in over 1400 Palestinians killed by Israelis and 5 Israelis killed by Palestinians, the population of Gaza has been unable to rebuild the 20,000 destroyed homes and buildings due to an ongoing Israeli-imposed siege. A year after the attack, we look at what role the US has played in the ongoing assault on Gaza, the solidarity marches which will be arriving at the Gaza border as we speak, and examine the history of the refugee population of the Gaza Strip.
