There’s more ways of defining wealth than just dollars or private property. There’s the economic value of the health of families, communities and our planet – far more important indicators than those of our dominant market economy. In Portland, there’s a growing call for “caring economics” that value a more equal society where human dependence and caregiving activities are acknowledged and counted.
