Amy Dudley, of The Rural Organizing Project, and Dan Handelman of Peace and Justice Works, join Ani in the studio. We are talking about stopping the wars and advancing people's needs.  Your voice matters on these complexly interwoven issues, and we want you to participate in the discussion by calling in at 503-231-8187.

For six years the US war in Iraq has raged.  It's been more than seven years in Afghanistan.  For what end? At what cost?

Actions are taking place on Sunday and Monday to move forward in promoting peace, justice, and human needs.

Amy Dudley is with The Rural Organizing Project.  They are one of the organizers for Monday's Democracy Bailout, a day of focused legislative action in Salem, 8 am - 1 pm, March 16th.

Dan Handelman is with Peace and Justice Works, a group dedicated to increasing peace globally and locally.  Peace and Justice Works and The Rural Organizing Project are two of the many organizations involved with the upcoming statewide march and rally happening in Salem, Sunday, March 15th, at the steps of the capitol.

For more information about sharing rides, the Peace and Justice Works phone number is 503-236-3065.  Rally organizers are calling for volunteers interested in peace keeping at Sunday's event to call the Peace and Justice Works office.
