THE PALM COURT: CAB CALLOWAY. For this Spring Solstice we present the master of scat singing and bandleader of one of the most popular African American big jazz bands during the 1930s and 40s which also served, along with Duke Ellington's band, as one of the Cotton Club's two famous house bands; perhaps best know these days for the songs "Minnie the Moocher" and "St. James Infirmary Blues." Tonight just music from the 1930s.
