Hosted by Clayton Morgareidge, this show has good news and bad news from the economic justice front. The good news: according to Gar Alperowitz, more people than ever are working for and being served by non-capitalistic enterprises, from worker-owned coops to publically owned utilities. The bad news: journalist Mike Konczal details the ways increasing privatization of public services undermines democracy. And it is good news that Well-read Red Frann Michel places the Komen Foundation's attack on Planned Parenthood clearly in the wave of neo-liberalism. At the end of the show, Clayton reads a poem/rant by Jayne Cortez. It's called "Cultural Operation," and can be found in Poems For the Nation, edited by Allen Ginsberg and others.
