This is the last Swing’n’Country show before Christmas (Saturday Dec. 20th 6-9am 90.7fm). Accordingly, the playlist includes a sprinkling of holiday music early in the program, which becomes an all-out holiday celebration by the last hour. The show starts with Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, followed by Waylon Jennings, Jerry Reed, Cal Smith, Brandi Carlile, Gene Autry (twice), Dolly Parton (twice), Loretta Lynn (twice), Buck Owens, Brooks and Dunn, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, Lefty Frizzell and many other country style musicians.
We are in the midst of "KBOO Fights Back", the end-of-the-year membership drive. The goal is to raise 75-thousand dollars for this community radio station.
