Graham and Robert Parish celebrate the holiday season with their usual first-Saturday three-hour program. This month, they're featuring mostly country holiday tunes from their individual “Swing ’n’ Country” archives.
The father-son duo will also be sharing some personal Christmas stories, including their John Fahey present-opening family routine, which includes music from Fahey’s 40-year-old Christmas LP, “ The New Possibility,” (rescued from oblivion inside a Parish garage). Other musical “guests” include Chet Atkins, Gene Autry, Johnny Cash, Reba McIntire, Blue Rodeo, Brenda Lee, and Spike Jones and the City Slickers. Baxter Black, “The Cowboy Poet,” joins the party in Hour Three with his humorous composition, “Rudolph’s Night Off.”
