The Phantom Of The Subway by Cornell Woolrich

Katherine Dunn reads a suspence story set in the New York subways by Cornell Woolrich, Originally published in a 1936 issue of Argosy Magazine under the title"You Pays Your Nickel". Later reprinted by Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine as "The Phantom Of the Subway" in 1983. A New York Subway guard becomes interested in the newspaper coverage of an ongoing police search for a muderous burglar who ha been on the run since the early hours of the morning. As his day goes on and he follows the latest news releses he begins to realize that he may be on a collesion course with this phantom who has proven ready to kill when cornered.
