As Portland Re-envisions Itself

Portland now has a new form of government and a revamped city council that in many respects represents the new vision that created this change in our city government. But many tensions remain between some of the city council visionaries and an established way of thinking and acting that is still entrenched throughout many of the city's bureaucracies.

On this episode of Locus Focus we talk with Portland District 4 city council member Mitch Green, who ran as an avowed socialist (along with two other city council members), about how to realize a truly progressive vision for Portland in a time of budget shortfalls and impending autocracy at the federal level.
