Oscar Wilde's witty take on the biblical tragedy gets a passionate staging at Portland's Imago Theatre

For well over a century, Oscar Wilde's Salome has been the subject of controversy.  Banned from the British stage for decades, the play has gone on to inspire a wild array of stage and screen adaptations.

Now, Imago Theatre Artistic Co-Director Jerry Mouawad is bringing an intense and physical version of Salome to the Portland stage.  Joined by actor Diane Slamp and dramaturge Drew Pisarra, Jerry talks with S.W. Conser and offers listeners a preview of the play and of Imago's artistic process.
