Today's first hour of the show will be featuring songs that Jerry Garcia played that were written by black musicians and songwriters. Some of the songwriters include Smokey Robinson, Ashford & Simpson and Martha Reeves.
The 2nd hour will start off with long run by Widespread Panic from 2001. The rest of the 2nd hour will feature tunes from The Band. The last surviving member of The Band, Garth Hudson, passed away on Jan 21st, 2025.
