Wildfire Nears Nuclear Test Site

Massive wildfires continue to burn across the Southwest portion of the country. One of the concerns about the New Mexico fire is its proximity to the Los Alamos nuclear test site, where radiation and nuclear materials remain from tests conducted over the last 60 years.

KBOO's Chris Andreae spoke with a local woman whosedaughter works for the US Forest Service, and leads one of the 75 fire crews from around the country that have been deployed to the site.
