The Port of Columbia County, along the Columbia River northwest of Portland, has been trying to expand industrial development by rezoning valuable agricultural land for industrial use. But many farmers in the area have a different vision for the future of their community.
On this episode of Locus Focus we talk with two young farmers in Clatskanie, Jasmine Lillich and Brandon Schilling, who leading the way to make their vision a reality. Jasmine is the executive director and Brandon is the Board President of the Clatskanie Farmers Market and also the driving force behind the Clatskanie Food Hub.
