This International Women's Day special is a combination of statements from women who are associated with women's resource organizations, women sharing their personal stories, original spoken word/poems, and musical interludes. Featured artist include: Kristen Grainger, Arietta Ward, Bre Gregg, Beth Wood, and Lisa Mann. These artists formed a group called SHE'S SPEAKING during the COVID pandemic. Their music creates a dynamic view of the operational lives of women in the music industry. Their music is an inspirational pathway viewing some wage disparity issues women musicians suffer and how they are surviving through it. Some of the women providing spoken testimony include: Jordana Sardo, Nannette Carter-Jafri, Rebecca Draper, Brenda Dennis, Stacy Chamberlain, and Tina Turner-Morfitt. These contributors have a wide experience in our community ranging from political, to labor unions, to average women in our communities all working on behalf of the betterment of women and to provide resources to them that they may not be aware of.
