Anti-coal Rally
On Febuary 23rd a group gathered at the courthouse in the town of Kelso, Washington to express their outrage surrounding plans to build a coal export terminal nearby in Longview, Washington.
Millennium Bulk Logistics, a subsidiary of Australia’s Ambre Energy, has been granted a permit by Cowlitz County to build the terminal, but locals say it should be revoked.
Last week, the project made international headlines when it was learned that the company had not disclosed their entire plan for the facility. KBOO’s Isobel Charle attended the rally.
