DEQ and North Portland Soil Contamination

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is inviting public comments regarding the proposed cleanup of contaminated soil and sediment at the north portland site of a used-oil recycling business.

Merit oil USA fuel processor incorporated shows elevated metal concentration in wetland sediments which poses a rish to local wildlife.

The cleanup effort is expected to take six weeks once it has begun.
