Tami, Richie and The Waterfront Blues Festival

Father and son Robert and Graham Parish present three hours of classic and new country music as well as taste of one of Portland’s most important community events, the Waterfront Blues Festival, happening this weekend in downtown PDX

In hour one, Graham takes listeners on a journey back in time with a long set of country hits from the 1960’s.

During hour two, Robert and Graham play a few cuts from Tami Neilson’s upcoming album, “Kingmaker.” Most of the hour is devoted to vinyl tracking the brand new studio album from country-rock pioneer, Richie Furay. His latest effort, which features a dozen country classics, is appropriately called “In the Country.”

The focus of hour three are country-ish cuts from several artists who will be taking the stage at the Waterfront Blues Festival, including Taj Mahal, The Wood Brothers, Hillstomp, Grace Potter and Lettuce.
