Record rainfall and what it might mean in the garden, garden plants we regret planting, and a report from the Kiev Botanic Garden.

Host Glen Andresen and guest Jim Gilbert welcome you to the first live Dirtbag show in more than two years! Call us, we've missed you. We will discuss some potential problems that may be lurking in the garden as a result of all the rain. Plus an update on the heritage apricot tree we visited a month ago. And Jim will give a report from the Kiev Botanic Garden. Also, and this could be fun in a cruel way, Glen will present a list of garden plants--both edible and ornamental--that he greatly regrets planting. Call us with your problem plants!

As always, we'll have a new Plant of the Month (loquat) and a new Garden Stumper and the answer to last month's Stumper (and the winner gets a free sharpening of a hand tool from Cully Farm Store in Northeast Portland!). Plus, our Dirtbag Dictionary term  is "healing in."  And, of course, what's annoying Glen this month.

Don't forget, if you have a gardening question, or the answer to the Garden Stumper, you can always email us at thedirtbag@kboo.org -- we'll answer your question on the air during the next show! Furthermore, you can record a voice memo of your gardening question on your phone and email that to us. We will play it on the air next month and answer your question.

The Dirtbag... Listen. Laugh. Learn.
