On June 28th Jermelle Madison Jr was found unresponsive in a Clackamas County jail cell.  On July 3 he was pronounced dead at Sunnyside Medical Center.  We will talk this week on Prison Pipeline with journalist James Croxton of Double Sided Media who did an investigative piece that opened up the story in the alternative media and advocate Amanda Trujillo of the Portland Freedom Fund about the death of Madison.

Jermelle Madison Jr. fell through the cracks of a system that failed him. We will talk about the failure of mainstream media to cover the case and the subsequent vandalization of a memorial for Jermelle in which a Clackamas County employee destroyed the memorial and spray painted a swastika on the site.  Madison's family is organizing and they have a voice, led by his grandmother Lynette and the help of the Oregon Justice Resource Center there will be a lawsuit and there is a planned march for justice for Jermelle.
