A new online hub showcases original works by editorial cartoonists

Editorial cartoons are often the most popular feature on the newspaper page, but with print publications battered by the left-right punch of the internet and vulture capital, more and more political cartoonists find themselves wandering in a media wilderness.

Enter Counterpoint, a new online venue for original and edgy work by established cartoonists.  Nick Anderson, formerly of the Houston Chronicle, co-founded Counterpoint with the intent of promoting this eminent but endangered form of expression.

Joining Nick in the virtual studio are award-winning cartoonists Kevin (KAL) Kallaugher and Scott Stantis along with host S.W. Conser, leading a freewheelng discussion about comics history, media censorship, political and economic pressures, and the camaraderie of creative artists.
