Please join us for Transpositive on KBOO Community Radio on Tuesday, July 6th as we talk with Carter Lee. Carter Lee is a disabled nonbinary person who has experience physical and verbal harassment. They will share their story of bad interactions with medical personnel who misgender them and fail to address them with dignity and professional respect. Nicolette Schweizer will join us to have a wider discussion of about disability and trans erasure. Carter Lee hopes that by sharing their story in the media they will help to raise awareness about the treatement of trans and non binary people, and especially raise awareness about issues facing trans and non binary youth facing the challenges of homlessness and disability.
Transpositive is a biweekly program in Portland exploring themes important to those who identify as Transgender, Gender Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming. Transpositive tries to connect listeners with the ongoing activist, arts, culture, and dialogue happening in Portland and beyond. Make your voice heard! Transpositive PDX is open to new and experienced programmers, guests, and events you want our community to know about. We are an open collective. Anyone identify as trans, gender non-binary, gender fluid is welcome to be part of our collective after completing some basic free radio training.
