Discussion about the Washington State redistricting process with the first Black Female member of a non-politician commission charged with drawing new legislative and congressional boundary lines.

Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt ,  Dr. Audrey Terrell and Deborah Hall  for the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists segment of Labor Radio. Our guest will be April Sims, the Secretary Treasurer of the Washington State Labor Council.  Sista Sims is one of four commissioners selected by the Washington State Senate and House of Representatives to draft the new congressional and legislative boundary lines as a result of the 2020 US Census. Our conversation with Sista Sims will explore how the process works and the importance of their mission to draw district lines that "provide fair and effective representation”.
