Please join us for Transpositive on KBOO Community Radio on Tuesday, May 18th. Author Sheila Mengert reads from her book "Transexualism and It's Discontents: A Political Profile." Sheila's book is unique in transgender literature because it addresses both topical and personal issues during the era when the transgender movement was first finding its place in political discourse.  The book consists of short and pithy essays designed to be stimulating and provocative.  Sheila Mengert is the author of 14 books on a variety of subjects from fiction to psychology including her short story collection "Auguries of Desolation" published by Blue Forge Press. 
 
Transpositive is a biweekly program in Portland exploring themes important to those who identify as Transgender, Gender Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming. Transpositive tries to connect listeners with the ongoing activist, arts, culture, and dialogue happening in Portland and beyond. Make your voice heard! Transpositive PDX is open to new and experienced programmers, guests, and events you want our community to know about. We are an open collective. Anyone identify as trans, gender non-binary, gender fluid is welcome to be part of our collective after completing some basic free radio training.
