Electronic Cabaret!

KBOO is open to the public! To visit the station, contact your staff person or call 503-231-8032.

On the Air August 31st, 9pm-12am

Basic Info:

Please show up at least an hour ahead of time (8pm) for setup.  You're welcome to bring refreshments and guests, but please let me know how many are coming with you so we can make sure everyone fits!

Music Format and Equipment Setup:

This is an electronic cabaret, part of KBOO's dada and surrealism festival.  If you're unfamiliar with this movement, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dadaism.  In short, we will be taking this concept to produce music and sounds that invent their own meaning and resists structure.  Beyond that, we'll be coming up with it on the spot.  Feel fee to bring in topics or influences to inspire you, including dada literature.  I'll send out some texts that our festival organizer Riechard has suggested.

Please be prepared for an evolving situation where we will need to adapt to many equipment needs and experimentation.  The more cords, converters and adapters the better.  Everything will be going into XLR.
